: RECORDING!
Tomorrow September first my band Hands Up will begin recording our full length. We started out in 2002 as a result of our friend Danny having a drum set and a guitar. We were XGOX I had been playing guitar at this point for about 8 years but only realy played punk type stuff. Basically it went down like this: Travis played drums because he couldnt do anything else, Danny played bass because he know how, Kyle sang because he had no musical experience and could yell it up. So in a day we wrote a and recorded the worst hardcore song ever. We made up the genre cliche' core and had a good laugh while creaing a myspace account for the new band. That was all good and fun but then we decided we should play at a small local show that was comming up. I had missed playing shows incredibly and everyone else just wanted to rock out freaking hard! So we decided we needed more than one song so we covered Ciera's One Two Step. It was basicly a big breakdown with sone two step thrown in. So we played the show and had a blast. a few months whent by with no mention of the band and Kyle and Trav moved to Steamboat Colorado to go to college. One weekend they came back for a house show I was putting on and we decided to play again. So with no practice we played and had a blast once again! After they moved back to Junction we started playing again and writing our new songs. After about a million member changes and an increasing longing to take our music more serious we became Hands Up. We now have a real message of fun, sobriety, and living a positive life. We now have pride in our sound and cant wait to put out our CD.
